LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -They’ve been discussing it for eight months and they’ll talk a little more. But Louisville aldermen may be a little closer to making a decision on an ordinance that would require rental property owner to meet basic safety and health standards and pay a fee to cover the cost of additional inspections. Aldermen tonight tabled for further review the proposed ordinance but indicated they could be close to a decision. The ordinance is modeled after ones already in place in Tupelo and New Albany.
