RIPLEY, Miss. (WCBI)-The City of Ripley could soon be wet. Voter’s will decided whether to legalize the sale of liquor, beer and light wine within the town limits August 13th. Roughly 800 of the city’s 3,800 residents petitioned for the vote. Alcohol is available for sale in areas within 20 minutes of Ripley, including New Albany and Middleton, Tennessee. Several areas in northeast Mississippi have approved liquor sales recently including New Albany, Corinth, and Tishomingo County.
