Video: Section of Highway 15 Dedicated to Officer Killed in the Line of Duty

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – He’s remembered each year with memorial services and prayers and a flag pole bears his name. Now, the French Camp Police Chief who was killed 10 years ago will live on for generations. State and local officials will name a stretch of Highway 15 in Choctaw County “The Anthony Lucas Memorial Highway.” Lucas was killed February 4, 2005 in Weir while helping Ackerman Police and Choctaw County sheriff’s deputies make an arrest. The highway dedication is scheduled for February 4th, the 10th anniversary of his death.
