PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI)- 46 year-old Anthla Wade is in custody and will face charges Monday from Sherman.

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI)-A standoff with police at a Sherman service station leads shots fired and the business set on fire.

The incident took place last night around 8:30 after fire departments responded to a fire on Highway 178 across form the Red Lion grocery store.

Sheriff Leo Mask tells WCBI, the suspect had just been released from jail that same day and the business he set on fire was his father’s where he was employed.

He was apprehended by police shortly after 10 Thursday night.

The suspect is believed to struggle with a mental illness.

It has not been decided if he will be committed or charged with a felony.

No further information has been released.
