STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The City of Starkville is one step closer to annexing some surrounding land. Starkville aldermen unanimously approved future advertising as they seek a consultant to conduct an annexation study. The topic has been on the table for several months. Mayor Parker Wiseman estimated the study would cost ten to twenty thousand dollars. No date has been set to begin advertising, but Chief Administrative Officer Taylor Adams recommended a minimum of six weeks for circulating the ad.
