Video: Starkville Campers Learn Engineering Basics

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -Armstrong Middle School is helping students build their knowledge and imagination. The school’s first STEM camp is teaching fourth through sixth graders the basics of engineering.

The campers learn design techniques and brainstorm ideas in small groups. During the week long camp … kids work together to complete challenges in science… Technology… Engineering… and math.

“Basically I just want them to have a love for engineering so you know if they have an idea jot it down do some sketches and maybe be an inventor one day.”
“This going to be my favorite is on Friday we are going to build our own rockets on campus and that’s probably going to be my most favorite thing out of the entire camp.”

The camp runs through Friday.
