STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – If you are still looking for holiday gifts, the city of Starkville begins its Annual Holiday Bazaar Tuesday (11-27) night at the Starkville Sportsplex.

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you can still find gifts with a personal touch at the Bazaar.

“Everything is hand made.  A lot of the work we do, my wife and I do together.  It’s collaborative,” says Fritz Fulgham of Valve Springs Pottery.

This is the 40th Annual Holiday Bizarre but bag-maker Chamel Evans is a first time participant.

“This year I’m featuring my sequoia clutch and that’s based off a sequoia tree.  It’s one of the strongest trees in the world and it gives roots that empower other trees.  So this year my goal was to do a bag that included a scripture but that was functional but empowers yourself and spreads the word of God,” says Evans.

The Starkville Sportsplex has hosted the last 3 Holiday Bazaars and vendors are more than happy to return year after year.

James Phillips has sold unusually flavored jars of jelly at the Bazaar for the past three years.

“It’s been wonderful. There’s some good people down here, very friendly. We love them. We have good times down here. We can’t wait every year to get back here,” says Phillilps.

More than 90 vendors are participating this year.  The Starkville Holiday Bazaar is open this week only on Tuesday night from 7 to 9 pm and will open at 10am on Wednesday(11-28) and Thursday(11-29).
