Video: Sundancer Team On The Road In Mathiston

MATHISTON, Miss.(WCBI)–Due to their winning ways, it looks like the Houston Solar Car Team having achieved somewhat of a celebrity status are hitting the road these days.

This time it was in Mathiston Tuesday and not another state or country. In October the team won The National Solar Car Challenge which qualified them for competition in Australia in November.

The students drove through the Australian Outback, equalling to a distance of from Jackson Mississippi to Los Angeles.

While guests of the Maben Lions Club meeting at the Traceway Restaurant in Mathiston, the students shared their adventure over lunch.

The Sundance students showed slides of their trip last fall and answered questions about Australian customs and lifestyles.
