TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Preparations are underway at one Tupelo church for a sale benefiting Habitat for Humanity.

Members of First United Methodist Church and board members of Habitat for Humanity are taking donations of clothes, games, appliances, sporting goods and any other items for a charity sale this Saturday.

It is the first ever “Sunday School Charity Sale” and it will help build houses for those who become homeowners through Habitat for Humanity.

“It’s so generous of the community to say, we want to support you, and how can we do that in various ways, and it’s one of those things people would think of donating their stuff to get rid of it, it’s actually a way they can help support Habitat’s future homeowners and future partners,” said Katie Wright, board member with Habitat for Humanity and a member of FUMC, Tupelo.

The sale takes place Saturday from 8 until 1 in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. If you want to donate some items,  call the church office at 662 690 8100.   www.nemshabitat.org
