Video: Suspect in Pepper Spray Robbery Makes Initial Court Appearance

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The man accused in a January armed robbery made his initial court appearance Thursday.

Jamal Jeremy Shanklin is charged with armed robbery.

Columbus Police say Shanklin and another person forced their way into a Pandora Drive home, pepper sprayed the victim, and robbed him.

U.S. Marshals, working with Columbus Police arrested Shanklin last night.

Columbus Municipal Judge Rhonda Hayes Ellis set his bond at $200,000.00.

A second suspect is still on the run, and the investigation continues.
