Video: Teams From Lowndes and Calhoun Counties Advance to Regional Robotics Competition

CALHOUN and LOWNDES COUNTIES, Miss. (WCBI) -Robotics teams from two North Mississippi counties will compete for a world championship next month.

The New Hope High robotics team won the Excellence Award and a state tournament title at the recent Vex Robotics competition.

Meanwhile, the Calhoun Career and Technical Center team, which is made up of students from Calhoun County’s three high schools, also won a tournament title.

Teens build robots and compete in a variety of design and skills competitions.
