COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — It was off to the races in downtown Columbus Friday.

Dozens of kids enjoyed riding tricycles all for a good cause.

The 19th annual St. Jude Trike-a-Thon raised money for the non-profit and honored a special little girl who received help from them.

Elizabeth King battled leukemia at St. Jude in Memphis, she is now in remission.

Her mother says the hospital was a true blessing for her family and many more.

“The parents they don’t have to worry about anything, they get a meal card. They get milage money, rooming, house, the Ronald McDonald House, the Target house or the Tri Delta place. So you really don’t have to pay for anything and all the research helps the kids the next year, ” says Madelyn King.

Parents also came out to support their kids and the cause.
