Video: Tupelo CVB Unveils Exhibit Honoring Local Duo

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The Tupelo Convention and visitor’s Bureau has opened a new exhibit to honor two Northeast Mississippi musical legends. The exhibit honors the career and work of Kay and Buddy Bain. The duo has performed at the Grand Ole Opry several times and Buddy was the first person to take a TV camera backstage.

They have interviewed artists such as Elvis Presley, Tim McGraw and Willie Nelson. Since Buddy Bain passed away in 1996, Kay has continued to work and entertain everyday.

Mayor Jason Shelton announced that a “Buddy and Kay Day” will soon be declared.
