TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -A local radio personality is camping out in the Mall at Barnes Crossing, until the Salvation Army’s “Angel Tree” is bare.
Kelli Karlson is part of the morning crew at Wizard 106. 7 and each year she camps out in the mall as part of a last minute push for the “Angel Tree” program.

Each “angel” on the tree has a name of a boy or girl , and a Christmas wish list.

People are asked to purchase the gifts for their “angel” and return them so they can all be delivered.

“It’s important if they do take an angel, and decide to help a child we need to get the gifts back by the end of the day Saturday because next week we will be spending all that time, sorting and assembling all the gifts to make sure every child has something.”

Karlson will camp out until all the angels are taken from the tree.
