Video: Tupelo Gets Ready for 2015 Noleput Festival

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Plans for a New Orleans themed event in Tupelo are announced. The artwork for the second annual “Noleput” Festival was unveiled this morning at the “Silver Moon Club” in downtown Tupelo.

“Noleput” will take place April 25th at the “Gardner-Watson Ice House” and will feature food vendors, a parade, a kids corner , and lots of live music.Organizers say the event is a fundraiser for a big event on Independence Day.

“That will be in Ballard Park this year, and that is one of our biggest events that the Tupelo Park and Recreation and Tupelo Fourth of July committee puts on that is an excellent event and this is just to help us raise funds to make that a continually, just a great event.”

The artwork for this year’s Noleput will be featured on posters and t shirts. Local artist Sue Scruggs did this year’s painting.
