Video: Tupelo- Lee County NAACP Hosts Candidate Forum

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -Politicians meet and greet tonight looking for votes. The Tupelo Lee County Chapter of the NAACP hosted a non-partisan forum tonight.

State candidates, along with those running in the first Congressional District special election runoff were invited.

Each candidate was given a few minutes to give their pitch to the crowd, to garner their support. Organizers the event inspires voters to go to the polls.

“I’m hoping all the people turn back out and vote like they did on the last time on the Republican and Democratic party. We’re just looking for a good race, a good clean fight and whoever will be our congressman, that’s who we’re going to follow.”

Congressional Candidate Walter Zinn Junior was there. His opponent, Trent Kelly, was unable to attend.
