TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Members of Tupelo’s Police Athletic League got a special show from some fast moving, high flying circus performers.

The “King Charles Troupe” is made up of ten men who play basketball on unicycles.  They gave a demonstration to Tupelo’s Police Athletic League Wednesday afternoon.

They also perform other feats, such as jump rope on the unicycles.  Some P.A.L. members were given quick lessons on how to ride and maneuver the unicycle.

P.A.L. members also played a quick game, off the unicycles, with the “King Charles Troupe” and gave a motivational talk to the youngsters.

“Everything is on unicycles, if you are on feet, that’s a violation, you can’t touch the ball on feet, you can’t pass the ball on feet, you can’t do nothing on feet, anything on feet is a violation,” said Ramel Robinson, of the King Charles Troupe.

“No matter how many times you fail, keep trying , keep pushing yourself you will eventually achieve it,” said Ladevin Allen, a PAL member.

The King Charles Troupe will perform with the “Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.”  All the fun begins this evening at the Bancorpsouth Arena in Tupelo.  Shows run through Sunday.
