Video: Tupelo Pharmacist 2014 ICC Alumnus of the Year

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tupelo Pharmacist is the 2014 Alumnus of the Year at Itawamba Community College.

Dr. Amanda Summers of Mantachie was honored before Saturday’s football game against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

She is a clinical pharmacist for North Mississippi Medical Center’s Outpatient infusion department.

She also serves as a clinic Assistant Professor for the University of Mississippi’s School of Pharmacy. She says she is humbled to be recognized.

“ICC’s done so much for me, so much of my life started here,” she said. “So many things that have been a part of my life since I lived here originated here, I just don’t feel worthy. I feel like I could give back to ICC continually and never give back enough. So it’s a very humbling experience for me.”

Sophomore Molly May of Houston is this year’s homecoming queen.
