Video: “Tupelo Reads” Selects “The Tilted World” for 2015 Edition

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -The next book for the “Tupelo Reads” program has a bit of local flair. On Monday, “The Tilted World” was selected by the committee for this year.

Tom Franklin and Beth Ann Fennelly are Oxford based authors who wrote the book. They’ll be in Tupelo in September, as “Tupelo Reads” wraps up with several events. Folks are encouraged to get a copy of the book and read it this summer.

“Historically it’s very interesting, it has a great plot , with some characters you will fall in love with, there’s a little bit of everything, there’s swashbuckling, it’s a lot of action and they are such a dynamic couple I think they will make a great program, and this is a readable book.”

The story is set in the Mississippi flood of 1927.
