Video: Tupelo School Board Members Take Fact-Finding Tour of Facilities

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo School Board members used a regularly scheduled work session to tour some of the district’s facilities. Board members spent some time at Joyner Elementary, which received damage to its kindergarten wing during April’s tornado.

The special guests visited with teachers and students and were able to see the repairs and improvements made to the school. The delegation also visited the district’s maintenance facility and the new THS soccer and track fieldhouse.

“It’s just really an opportunity for us to understand how resources are used throughout the district and to understand the impact the spending, on behalf of the district is utilized to benefit students.”

School board members schedule similar trips each fall.
