TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -Hard working students at a Tupelo elementary school were able to take a break from class and go to Healthworks! in style.

To celebrate the youngsters who met their fundraising goals, Rankin Elementary gave the students limo rides to Healthworks!, where the boys and girls learned about physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.

In years past, those who met their school fundraising goals were awarded with a pizza party, but this year, it was a healthier token of appreciation.

“We certainly want the students to feel rewarded for their hard work, but also as you see today, they’re running around, having a good time, they’re exercising, and that’s what we want the kids to take away is that exercise is fun and having a good time is healthy as well.”

This is the first time TPSD has rewarded kids who met fundraising goals with a trip to Healthworks!
