Video: Tupelo Thoroughfare Commission Approves Long-Term Plan

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -Tupelo Planners are taking a long look down the road. The city’s Major Thoroughfare Program Committee has unanimously approved a twenty year plan for street improvements.

The comprehensive 55 million dollar plan now heads to the Tupelo City Council for approval. If it passes, it will be reevaluated and the first phase will be placed before city voters next year.

The 20 year plan is reexamined and voted on in five year increments.
