HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – New information tonight in the search for a missing Houston man. The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department says human remains found today near Okolona Cutoff Road.  Now, investigators will test the remains for DNA at the state crime lab.

72 year-old Willie Harries hasn’t been seen for nearly two months. The remains were found near his home. Law enforcement and volunteers spent the day searching a heavily wooded area for any additional evidence. Those who know Harries hope the family figures out what happened to their loved one.
“I know he was a school teacher for a long time. Everybody knew him. You know for anybody to have somebody you know, your family, and you’re missing and they don’t know where you’re at, that’s sad. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.”

Neighbors say a dog discovered the human remains.
