Webster County Supervisors have been waiting for an insurance settlement decision of losses, and holding meetings to decide whether to renovate or move the courthouse to another location.

Although no action was taken, one option mentioned during Monday’s board meeting, was to allow the public to decide on the courthouse by way of a referendum.

Board of Supervisor President Pat Cummings is only telling us they are getting closer to wrapping up negotiations surrounding replacement of the courthouse. The insurance company has until on or before January 4th to respond.
