WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Feeding the community, and focusing on the elderly, is something the Women on a Mission organization takes pride in.

On Wednesday the group hosted its annual community Thanksgiving Feast in West Point.

They served free, hot lunches to area residents. For organizer, Alma Brown the feast is a labor of love..

“I do this from my heart with love to feed the elders, they enjoy the plates every year and sometimes if we don’t get around to them they’ll call my phone saying, where’s my plate, and It just gives me a heart, and a mind to do this for the elders in the community, and I just thank God for allowing me to keep my dream alive.”

The organization will continue to serve and feed people all month long.
