WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – Some West Point High School students were proving that it’s better to give than to receive.

Members of the National Honor Society loaded up some goodies, and stopped by Living Manna Church in West Point Wednesday morning.

The students collected over five hundred cans of food to donate to the church. Living Manna operates a food pantry for lower income and elderly residents in West Point and Clay County.

For the students it was a chance to impact the community.

” We collected all the canned goods from students in the school, along with teachers helping out. So, it was a school joint effort.”

” As we go farther into the year, everything gets bigger and better, so we try to help our community; help our school, and even help people in need.”

Living Manna Church holds their distribution day the first Monday of every month.
