WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — A West Point man accused in a Starkville home invasion robbery finds himself facing similar charges in his hometown.

According to West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley, officers were called to a home June 14 on Lone Oak Rd.

The victim said two men entered his home, assaulted him and tied him to a chair.

The wife of the victim escaped and called police. The victim has since been treated for injuries.

The duo got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Brinkley says investigators worked with the Starkville Police Department to narrow the suspects down to Depriest Gray and Vernard Gray, both of West Point.

Both have been charged with kidnapping, burglary of an occupied building and armed robbery.

Depriest Gray was arrested last week in Starkville, and is facing similar charges there.

Bond is set at $50,000 each.
