WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)-The West Point Police are looking to change up their vehicles.

With high speeds and miles traveled daily the vehicles have racked up several thousand miles and are needed to be changed.

Police Chief Tim Brinkley says he is shopping online for sixteen cars to replace the aging fleet most likely with some used vehicles.

A brand new vehicle fully outfitted for a police department’s needs would run close to $30,000 dollars or more.

Which is the main reason the Department is looking into used vehicles.

Brinkley says he hopes to have a couple of vehicles bought by the spring.
