Video: West Point Selectmen Approve TIF Resolution

WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) West Point Selectmen show financial support for the new golf course, that’s coming to town.

Leaders passed a resolution Tuesday night, moving forward with the formation of a tax increment finance plan that will aid the George Bryan Family and Mossy Oak as they build the Nature’s Golf Course.

The resolution authorizes the selectmen to promote the economic development project by offering exemptions, issuing bonds, contributing to infrastructure improvements and other financial support to help the project generate revenue.

The course should be ready to play by 2017.
