Video: West Point Students Explore The Holocaust

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) -It’s one of the darkest periods of the Twentieth Century, and this week West Point High School students are shedding light on The Holocaust.As part of their World History class, students explored different facets of the Jewish Experience in Nazi Germany before and during World War Two.

They created displays about the the ghettos and concentration camps and put them together in a sort of mini Holocaust Museum..

“What we are doing today is some project-based learning where we are looking at the Holocaust, and how it affected Jews and non-Jews during that time period. Mostly for the kids to learn basically how to learn on their own.”

“Learning about the Holocaust, and how the Germans killed the Jews, and how everything worked in the camps.”

The student displays will be up through the end of the week..
