Video: West Point Students Get Visit From a ‘Space Cowboy’

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) -It was high-flying fun for some West Point students Tuesday. A member of the “Space Cowboys” competitive rocketry team from Mississippi State made a landing at Central School in West Point to  inspire the students to think about careers in science or engineering, and show them a little science and math in action.

“Encouraging students to pursue degrees in STEM–mathematics, science, physics, things of that nature, and try to promote kids to not give up on their dreams; to not think you have to be born exceptionally smart to pursue these degrees,” said Jacob Brady of MSU Space Cowboy.

Unfortunately, the rocket launch had to be scrubbed, due to airspace clearance issues..
