TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – One week after 8 Days of Hope, another ministry is bringing volunteers to Tupelo to help spruce up homes. More than 150 people from across the southeast are taking part in various home improvement projects through the ministry known as “World Changers.” Volunteers are working on 18 projects, performing various repairs and renovations. They also helped pull weeds and do landscaping at the Northside Boys and Girls Club. Organizers and volunteers say it’s a great way to live out your faith.

“I’ve been doing this for five years and every year I’ve shared my story of Christ and it’s one of the best feelings you will ever have, sharing you story with someone else and pouring your hearts out to them,” said World Changers volunteer, Annette Robbins.

Youth Pastor, Kent Shepherd said, “What we’re trying to do is show them what they can do on an everyday basis back in their city. One of the things World Changers has done for us, it has sparked a generation in our city, what we are doing called “Serve the City” in Lake Charles and what we’re doing is we are doing very similar World Changers stuff on a monthly basis.”

Volunteers are staying at First Baptist Church in Tupelo.
