Video: Young Scientists Honored At Mississippi State

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WCBI) -Talk about getting to hang out with the “big kids”. 50 Starkville elementary students received special recognition at Mississippi State Friday night.

The fourth and fifth graders are part of the Starkville Science Club. They have spent the past year working with students from MSU on developing their Math and Science skills.

On Friday, they picked up awards for all of their work at a special banquet at the Bost Conference Center

“What we are trying to do is build their scientific knowledge and also make them good stewards of the Earth, so that when we leave it’s still a good place.”

This is the seventh year for the partnership..
