Volunteers Clean Up Downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — It may almost be fall, but some Columbus residents are doing some spring cleaning downtown.

The Columbus Main Street Design Committee spent the morning sprucing up Leadership Plaza, and Coggin Alleyway.

The volunteers removed weeds, and replaced them with flowers and plants to get ready for fall.

The group cleans up these areas at this time each year as a way to keep downtown Columbus safe and beautiful.
