STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — It’ll be next week at least before Starkville Democratic Election officials consider a challenge to a primary a month ago.
Party officials say they can’t get the party election committee together before next week to review John Gaskin’s challenge to his four-vote loss in the May 7 primary to Jason Walker.
Gaskin has said there were enough inadvertent errors with affidavit ballots and redistricting to warrant a new election. A hearing set for last Friday was canceled because the committee could not get a quorum together.
The committee still has yet to set a new date.
