Water Valley Banker Faces Federal Charges

WATER VALLEY, MS (WCBI) – The former vice president of a Water Valley bank is free on bond after being indicted by a federal grand jury.
38 year old Bill J Pullen is charged with bank fraud in connection with an elaborate scheme to take money from Mechanics Bank in Water Valley.

Court documents show Pullen worked at the bank as a loan officer and would issue loans and lines of credits in the names of unsuspecting bank customers.  The indictment shows Pullen took out at least one point three million dollars  in other peoples names.  He would take some of that money for himself and use some of it to make payments on other bogus loans .The court records do not show exactly how much of the one point three million he embezzled for himself.
