EUPORA, Miss. (Press Release) – A traffic stop by Webster County Sheriff Deputies and assistance from Mathiston PD on Hwy 82 near Natchez Trace Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. has landed a “Wanted” man in jail.
Joseph Brantley, 28, was arrested after deputies found drugs hidden inside his pants along with digital weighing scales. Webster Deputies & Mathiston PD also had to chase Brantley on foot before he was shot using a “Taser” Stun Gun by a Deputy. Deputies later learned Brantley had a warrant for his arrest from Mississippi Dept. Of Corrections for a previous robbery charge he had been charged with. He was charged with possession of Schedule I narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing/escape, and for his Felony Warrant.
