Webster County Voters Want A New Courthouse

Webster County, Miss. (WCBI) – Webster County voters overwhelmingly vote to build a new courthouse in Walthall.

1,077 voted for a courthouse replacement or to build a new courthouse.

446 voted to restore the old building that was destroyed by fire.

These are unofficial results and some affidavits will be counted Wednesday morning.

County supervisors say they’ll use the non-binding referendum vote to help decide what steps should be taken before construction of any kind begins.
