West Alabama Duo Being Investigated For Mail Thefts

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The United States Postal Inspection Service says it is investigating two Alabama people arrested in Monroe County.

Clinton Joshlin and Christina Abbot are charged with possession of a controlled substance.

An Inspection Service spokesperson says the agency is working with local law enforcement to learn more about the Carbon Hill, Alabama duo.

Monroe County deputies say Joshlin made a statement to them that he made over one hundred thousand dollars last year by stealing mail.

Mail thefts were reported in the Hamilton area.

Postal inspectors will also be looking to see if the duo could be related to mail thefts in the Caledonia area of Lowndes County.
