PRESS RELEASE

West Point, MS, Wednesday, August 19, 2015: Investigators with the West Point Police Department have identified the main suspect in the July 27, 2015 robbery of the Renasant Bank in that city. On that date a bank teller reported to investigators that a young black male came into the bank and placed a note on the counter demanding money. The alleged robber has been identified as 23 year old Titus Jeshua Lamb.

He is described as being 6’6 and 180 lbs. A warrant has been issued for his immediate arrest. Police did not disclose his address but stated that he is believed to be in the greater Atlanta area. Authorities also declined to divulge if the suspect has ties to the Golden Triangle or the West Point community.

Tim Brinkley, West Point Police Chief commented, “The fact that it has been almost a month since the robbery occurred is due to the fact that critical evidence pertinent to the case was still being examined. Now we are confident that we have enough to make an arrest in this case. The U. S. Marshall’s service has been briefed and we are thankful for their assistance and pledge to aid in the apprehension of this suspect”.

The case is still under investigation and anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect or other information about this case is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or the West Point Police Department at 494-1244.
