Video: West Point Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspect

West Point, MS, Monday, December 21, 2015: Early on Monday morning, December 21, 2015, at 2:08am, officers of the West Point Police Department were dispatched to the Fastbreak Convenience Store on Hwy 45 alternate south. Upon arrival officers spoke with the store clerk who reported that a man wearing a red ski mask came into the store and demanded money.

She described the robber and a white male who appeared to be in his mid to late twenties but wasn’t sure because of mask. He was reported to be about 5’11, around 180 lbs., wearing a camouflage jacket and shorts. A witness at the scene reported that after taking an undisclosed amount money from the till he fled south on highway 45 alternate in the grey pickup.

Police combed the area but were unable to locate the truck. Pictures captured on the store surveillance equipment show what appears to be a late model Ford pickup. Chief Tim Brinkley reminds the public and business owners to be especially vigilant this time of year and consider upgrading camera systems.

There is a reward of up to $1,000 offered through Crimestoppers for information leading to an arrest in this case. This robbery is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or the West Point Police Department at 494-1244.
