Winona To Talk Chief Replacement
WINONA (WCBI) – Winona aldermen will get down to the business of picking a new police chief this evening.
The process of taking applications for the job is on the agenda for a special called meetng tonight. Current Chief Johnny Hargrove is retiring at the end of June after 29 years on the force. He has served a chief since 1995. No time frame for naming the new chief is set but Mayor Jerry Flowers says it would be ideal to fill the spot before Hargrove leaves office.
