winston-co-coronerWINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- More details are emerging about those who died in Monday’s tornado that hit Louisville.

There are a total of 9 fatalities. The ages range from 31 to 85.

There were 5 females and 4 males who perished. All of them, sadly, suffered multiple trauma. One victim died at UMC Monday.

When WCBI asked Winston County Coroner Scott Gregory if he could determine the cause of death, he couldn’t say.

He tells us he’s never seen anything like this.

“Some were found in rubble. Under 2X4’s, under roofs, under walls. Some were blown out into open areas or what used to be an open area. Just a different location.”

WCBI also learned two of the victims were found approximately 1/2 mile away from their residence.

EMA Director Buddy King did not go into detail, but did confirm they’re still looking for one person, a child.
