Video: Woman Dies in Tupelo House Fire

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A 65-year-old woman dies in a Tupelo house fire today (Wednesday).

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green says Dorothy Carolyn Allen died from smoke inhalation shortly after noon at North Mississippi Medical Center.

The fire was reported at 11-30 a.m. at her home at 210 Nanney Drive off Main Street in central Tupelo.

Battalion Chief Mike Thomas says most of the damage was in the home’s living room.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
