Video: Work Continues On Lowndes Volunteer Fire Departments

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Progress continues on three new volunteer fire stations in Lowndes County.

Fire Coordinator Sammy Fondren tells WCBI the station in Crawford is 95% complete.

He says no official opening date has been set.

The building is in the town of Crawford in southern Lowndes County.

Meanwhile, the new facility for west Lowndes on Frontage Road is about 50% complete.

Fondren says the new fire house in Caledonia is 75% complete.
