Worker Electrocuted at Columbus Air Force Base

COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. (WCBI) – A 64-year-old contract worker is electrocuted at Columbus Air Force Base.

It happened around noon Tuesday (12-18).

The victim’s name is Hubert Lyman McBrayer.

He was from Guin, Alabama.

He was about 35 feet above the ground, in a bucket truck, when he came in contact with a high voltage line.

CPR was performed at the scene.

McBrayer was rushed to Baptist Golden Triangle, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

OSHA has been notified and will investigate.
