Bruce Native Schoggin Named New Tupelo Athletic Director

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Bruce native Andy Schoggin will become the new athletic director at Tupelo High School beginning at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.

The Tupelo Public School District Board of Trutees approved the hiring of Schoggin during a Tuesday board meeting. Schoggin will take over Danny Porter, who is retiring from Athletic Director at the end of the school year.

Schoggin is currently the principal at Senatobia Junior and Senior High School. He was the school’s principal there for the past two years. Before his time at Senatobia, Schoggin worked as principal and an assistant football coach at Horn Lake.

During his time at Senatobia, Schoggin helped integrate plans to upgrade facilities and improve coaching supplements.
