Eupora’s Allie Steadman Selected to Prestigious Softball Events

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI/Softball Factory) — Local athlete Allie Steadman has been selected to train and compete at two Softball Factory National events: the College World Series Select Training and the Softball Factory World Series.

Allie’s strong performance at the Jackson, Mississippi ASA/USA Softball National Identification Program in January earned her selections to the invite-only Softball Factory National events. Allie is 1 of only 40 girls selected for the program. Allie was initially recommended as a prospect by Eupora High School Varsity Softball Coach, Kaley Harris.

The College World Series Select Training will take place May 30- June 2, 2013 at Oklahoma City University. This event gives players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with the best coaches in the nation, in the midst of the Women’s NCAA College World Series. During the four days, Softball Factory’s staff will work with each player to help them maximize their potential and raise their game to a new level. In addition, Allie will get to see first-hand what it takes to play at the college level when Softball Factory players attend a Women’s College World Series game at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

The Softball Factory World Series will take place June 24-28, 2013 in Vero Beach, FL at the Vero Beach Sports Village. The event will host players from across the nation to compete for the Softball Factory World Series championship. Allie was selected to represent Softball Factory down in Florida along with other talented high school players from across the country. In addition to tournament play, players will take part in accelerated instruction focusing on all aspects of their game as they train with Softball Factory’s staff of former college players and coaches.

Allie, primarily a catcher, is currently a junior at Eupora High School where she maintains a 3.92 overall GPA.Allie is seeking sponsor support to help cover the cost of these Softball Factory National events.
