Evan Engram Announces Intent To Return To Ole Miss For Senior Season

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – Ole Miss junior tight end Evan Engram announced Thursday that he plans on returning to the football team for his senior season, first reported by Neal McCready at RebelGrove.com.

Engram said Thursday night that “it’s best for him,” adding that he wants to win an SEC championship with the Rebels.

“I’m really excited about playing here for my senior year,” Engram said.

The Georgia native will wait one more year on the NFL Draft after totaling 32 receptions and 368 yards this season. He’s caught two touchdowns.

Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche are two of the top juniors that are rumored to be considering declaring for the 2016 NFL Draft. Players have until Jan. 18 to decide.
