Grove Bowl Set for April 13th

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI/Ole Miss Athletics) — Coming off its first bowl appearance and win in three years, Ole Miss will take momentum into 2013 spring football practice, and the culmination of those drills will be the BancorpSouth Grove Bowl, which is scheduled for April 13.

Hugh Freeze will head into the 2013 off season with major momentum after their BBVA Compass Bowl victory last Saturday.

Game time and other details of Grove Bowl Week will be announced in the coming months. The Rebel baseball team hosts Alabama that weekend, while the track and field and women’s tennis teams will also be in action on campus.

Hugh Freeze’s football squad is tentatively set to begin spring drills on March 6. Ole Miss expects to lose only three position starters from this year’s 7-6 unit but will be without quarterback Bo Wallace during the spring as he recovers from surgery on his clavicle.

The Rebels kick off the 2013 regular season August 31 at Vanderbilt. Season tickets are available by visiting the OleMissSports.com ticket site or calling 888-REB-TKTS.
